Lovers Lament
Do you not know how much I love you?

I see you so real in my vivid dreams But I am merely a whisper in your mind, or so as it seems.
I see your face around every bend of my life that lays before, …

Endless waiting, searching through time, looking behind empty doors.
I love and hate what you have made me, A sad and sappy soul.
A shell of empty feelings that I cannot think to share.
Mountains of dreams, streams of sorrow, and owner of a soul I cannot bare.
Life was alive before you, but with you, you were my sun.
I thought we were meant to be, you and me as one.
But fairytales ending honestly and truly do not exist,
I sway like a limb on a stormy night- on a great willow, broken and unfixed.
But life goes on and I will grow without you, remembering what was,
People think I’m normal, but the hollow has just begun. By Sameena Bachmeier
